nice
the creative innovation of genre mashing, big ups for that.
nubbin did an excellent job with manning the percussion aspect of the track, I love the glitch loops.
awesome score writing to you

thanx for the review and the listen
dubstep, the new uk movement as I've heard
dubstep, the bastard child of drum'n'bass and hiphop.
I usually rate fairly, even if I'm not partial to a particular genre.
So, my reason for rating this low is that it lacked a lot of oomph, I sorta like dubstep that has an aggression to it, and this is just a looped hiphop beat with a small hint of synth in the background, and a weird dnb atmosphere that even lacks.
It could be done way better imo.
Your plus is that this song, unlike many others on this entire site, doesn't clip horribly, it's actually EQed pretty damn good, so I appreciate the effort in making something that distorts to shit.
HAve a good one, peace.
I disagree with the bastard sense, it had nothing to do with todays DnB or even Hip hop scene. You are relating the half time beats to what you have heard from a typical 90-180 bpm break, slow everything down, and it all becomes similar. I know it lacked oomph in areas, I am amateur, and I consider everything I post on newgrounds practice for something I wish to work for.
I produce on a mediocre laptop, with little capability to support extensive CPU load.
I roll on simple FL studios, with some extended VSTI's, Z3ta+, etc...
Most of my Bass is done simply on 3xosc or Ts404
And yes, I try to EQ enough to be satisfactory. Not like I have a studio or anything.. Lol.
O_O
this sounds like something a producer under tunnel records would pump out, so good job on that, I like their style of trance/hard trance.
alright, now to help you with this and your knowledge. This song is clipping pretty bad (your peaking on your db's too high). Turn that volume down on the master board, it would do wonders.
(if I knew the program or way you produce your tracks, I could help you more, mucho)
Thank you for the comment about tunnel records because I really like the music that comes from them.
Im still learning much about mastering a track so please bear with me! I may compress this track a little more.
I will use what youve said though thank you :D
you have my support
I know it's unfinished but, this brought on the nostalgia to the great trance classics I remember from back in the day.
That club trance from like back in 99 and what not.
Nice
haha thanks thats really awesome to hear :)
<:D
that is some fine idm my friend, absolutely love it.
(and the mastering in it is on damn point, what's your secret?)
Thanks for the review, yoshii : D
I'm glad you like it!
(My secret? Heh, I-uh... don't know. Just work it till it sounds good to me?)
my 2 cents
*stands up and spplauds*
Speechless, eh? Thanks for the review, but I wouldn't be offended if you wrote more. :P
my 2 cents
Impressive, I'm actually suprised.
(the lead is about to clip, tune it down a tad, and the bass should be tweaked up a notch to give more warmth and presence, that's it! this shit's pretty hot)
my 2 cents
this hiphop beat is what I wish most other tracks of the genre would "grow up" to be, and since, as I'm sure of, you know what I mean by that since you produce this genre.
hot beat man, I'm totally diggin' this. keep up the good work.
2 cents
has a psy trance and acid feel to it.
Thanks for the review man glad you liked it ;)
